Volunteer with MCCE

Volunteers are vital to MCCE's success

There are numerous ways to get involved with MCCE and MCCE Action, depending on your interests, skills, and availability. Fill out our interest form, or simply email volunteer@mainecleanelections.org to learn more.

  • Advocacy Volunteers
Advocacy volunteers provide public support for Clean Elections and other policy priorities through testimony, lobbying their legislators and letters to the editor, among other tactics. There's plenty to do in Augusta and in your community!
  • Public Education Volunteers
Our education efforts include both civic education programs (for students) and voter education programs. Volunteers play a valuable role by leading MCCE presentations on a variety of topics to help inform and inspire members of the public to take an active role in our democracy.
  • Data and Research Volunteers
Our research and analysis on the impact of money in Maine politics build the case for reform. If you like investigative research or data analysis we have a role for you!

Through our collaboration, we work closely with the League of Women Voters of Maine to increase voting and civic engagement:

  • Voter Registration Volunteers
Voter registration is at the heart of LWVME's work, making sure as many eligible Mainers as possible are ready to take part in the next election. Voter registration efforts include tabling at public events and attending naturalization ceremonies.
  • GOTV Volunteers
LWVME encourages all Mainers to be civically active, and that begins with encouraging eligible residents to cast their vote in every election. Efforts include distributing our Nonpartisan Voter Guide, passing out absentee ballot requests, participating in phone banking efforts, and much more.
