We support measures that increase fairness, inclusion, and opportunity in our politics and promote robust participation by Maine people in their government. Maine Citizens for Clean Elections (MCCE) is a community made up of volunteers who fight to make sure our government works for the people, not just moneyed interests.

Become a member of the money in politics (MIP) team:
Our MIP team meets on a weekly basis when the Legislature is in session and slightly less often during the off-season. We follow the bills that relate to campaign finance reform, the Maine Clean Elections Act, disclosure and transparency, and more. We also work with legislators to write bills that advance our priority issues. Volunteer duties include: participating in weekly team meetings and writing and delivering testimony on MIP bills.
